Dashcam footage released by police on Monday showed a vandalism suspect throwing rocks at officers in South Pasadena over the weekend.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Huntington Drive around 2:20 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a man who had broken the window of a vehicle parked on nearby Marengo Street.
“The suspect became agitated and belligerent as police attempted to contact him,” South Pasadena police said in a Facebook post. “I threw it at the official,” he said.

One of the rocks, the size of a softball, shattered the windshield of a police car arriving at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Norberto Sanchez, eventually surrendered after officers deployed a less-lethal device.
Police said Sanchez, a homeless person, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and felony criminal damage to property.
