The 25-year-old man pleaded guilty to murder on Friday, and attempted multiple murders following the rampage. He slammed the car into a bus stop near Westlake High School to kill the 15-year-old and stabbed the person before injuring five other students. .

The deceased teenage family, Wesley Welling, and some of the survivors of April 18, 2023, were seen as Austin Ice, showing little emotion, and in special circumstances and many other accusations. He entered into a plea of guilty to a planned murder. By entering the petition, EIS agreed to be sentenced to 85 years in prison next month.

However, he is considered a youthful offender, and Amber Lee said in an interview that EIS is eligible for a parole hearing after serving in prison for 24 years.

Deputy District Attorney Lee said Ventura County prosecutors agreed to the plea because survivors do not need to suffer from the trauma of their fatal assault testimony.

EIS pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in special circumstances, including Welling’s death, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment for violence. He also admitted to personal use of cars and knives as deadly weapons, special allegations that resulted in serious bodily injury.

“The defendant committed fear and extreme violence that took the lives of a teenage boy and crushed the lives of many others,” the Ventura County King said. Atty. Eric Nasalenko. “There is never a number of guilt to fill the suffering of the victim and his family, but it guarantees the removal of the defendant from society and holds him accountable for his horrifying crime.”

Prosecutors said the EIS travelled to more than 30 miles to three locations, leaving a path of bloodshed and mayhem during a pre-planned violent assault.

After entering Walmart in Shimi Valley, the ice spewed out, scattered peppers, and assaulted the greeting with multiple stab wounds, prosecutors said. EIS then physically assaulted the second employee and attempted to pull her away. Prosecutors said that when other employees tried to intervene, Eis charged with a knife before running out of the store.

About 40 minutes later, EIS barged into Camarillo’s family home, threatening multiple people with knives, swinging replica firearms around, and demanding access to additional weapons before fleeing.

EIS then drove to Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks for about 20 minutes, plowing the car to students standing near the sidewalk bus stop, as the students had left school, and then sought a few other people. He killed and injured.

Witnesses reported that the EIS accelerated towards 15 students before attacking them with vehicles. Several students suffered serious injuries requiring surgery and extensive treatment. Some of these students attended EIS court case at Ventura Court, similar to Friends of Welling, who wore “Wesley’s Justice” and t-shirts, with his photos displayed in front of him. .

Prosecutors said EIS has admitted targeting students out of personal frustration and his desire to commit mass violence. Investigators have discovered a long history of violent threats, including praise for mass murderers and adherence to extremist ideology. Text messaging and communications showed that he had expressed his intention to commit violent acts for years, prosecutors said.
