Mandatory evacuation orders and warnings have been issued for a fast-moving wildfire that has burned at least 3,400 acres near Castaic Wednesday morning, authorities announced.
Residents living in the area can find out if their area is under an evacuation order or warning by viewing the map below or by visiting the Genasys Protect or Cal Fire websites.
So far, as of 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, evacuation advisories and warnings have been issued for the following areas:

The fire, dubbed the Hughes Fire, was announced by the Angeles National Forest just before 10:45 a.m.
CalFire’s initial estimate was that the fire was about 50 acres, and by nearly 11:30 a.m. it had grown to about 100 acres.
However, by 11:45 a.m., the fire’s extent was estimated at 500 acres.
