(Nexstar) – Many websites and online services, including Google Services, Spotify, Doordash, and others, are reportedly encountering an outage that appears to be widespread Thursday afternoon.
Stop Tracker Down Detectors show that many sites and services are seeing an increase in the rate of issues reported by users.
For example, Spotify has over 40,000 of this report submitted. So the user says that they can’t load or use the app. For Discord, over 12,000 users have reported experience sending messages or server connection errors.
Thousands of users report issues accessing or using Google resources such as websites, Cloud, Meet, Nest, Drive, and Gmail. However, the company’s workspace and search status dashboard do not display incidents as of Thursday afternoon.
However, the Google Cloud Status site shows that global incidents have been reported. This includes Google Cloud Console, DataProc, and storage.
Google Cloud provides computing services to businesses, essentially hosting apps, data and more.
One company listed as Shopify, a Google cloud client, has also seen a surge in outage reports. According to Downdetector, more than 800 problem reports have been filed, particularly on the company’s website.
Amazon Web Services reportedly are also encountering problems. As of 3pm, nearly 6,000 publication reports had been made regarding down detectors. However, the company has not reported any issues with the status dashboard.
