Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that he was allegedly called for the arrest and enforcement of Iran’s director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Rubio’s warning comes after Iranian parliament Hamid Reza Reza Haji Babaei banned Grossi, removed surveillance from nuclear facilities and removed surveillance from nuclear facilities, according to a report by Mehr News.
“We support LAEA’s critical verification and surveillance efforts in Iran, and we praise the director and LAEA for their dedication and professionalism,” Rubio wrote in X-Post. “We call on Iran to provide the safety and security of IAEA staff.”

This week, LAEA commented on damages at Iran’s nuclear facilities following US airstrikes on major Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordou, Natanz and Isfahan.
While talking about Fox News, “The Story with Martha McCallum” and Grossi said Isfahan and Natantz had been damaged and Natantz showed “very serious damage” in one of the holes of centrifugal where the concentration was taking place.

A ceasefire agreement was made between Israel and Iran, but Grossi claimed that 900 pounds of rich uranium had been transported to an ancient site near Isfahan.
“I have to be very accurate, Martha,” Grossi said. “We’re the IAEA so we’re not speculating here. We don’t have any information on where this material is.”
He allegedly told him that Iranian officials were taking safeguards, including moving materials.

The UN nuclear chief says there are documents to build bombs in Iran, but there is no plan to do so.
“My job is to see where this material is. Iran has an obligation to report and explain all the material they have, and this will continue to be my job,” Grossi said.
President Donald Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal, Tehran signed with the US, UK, European Union, France, Germany and Russia in 2018, urging the threat of Iran to remove cameras and limit access to facilities.
