(Los Angeles) – The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will not pursue domestic violence or sexual assault charges against rock star Marilyn Manson.
Da Nathan Hochman made the announcement on Friday. It concludes a “comprehensive four-year investigation” into the allegations against Manson that included prosecutors from the district attorney’s office’s sex crimes unit, along with detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“We have determined that the allegations of domestic violence fall outside the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove the accusations of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt,” Hochman said in a media release. said.

“We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to come forward and share their experiences. We thank them for their cooperation and patience with the investigation,” the release continued . “While we cannot bring accusations to this issue, we recognize that the strong advocacy of the women involved has helped bring greater awareness to the challenges faced by survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. Contributing to expanding restrictions for domestic abuse prosecutions within the home because of their efforts have a louder voice in our criminal justice system and prosecutors’ offices across the country. The tools to keep the violence in place have improved. Abusers are responsible for their actions.”
In October 2024, the DA’s office announced that it was considering new evidence leading to the case involving Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner. The shock rocker has been accused by multiple women, including “Westworld” actor Evan Rachel Wood, of sexual abuse, rape and torture.
Manson has settled at least two such lawsuits, but has vehemently denied the allegations.
One of them was ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Esme Bianco in 2023, who alleged sexual assault, sexual battery and human trafficking. That same year, he settled down with Jane Doe, who claimed she was verbally and vaginally raped, according to a Los Angeles Times report.
At least dozens of women have come forward with claims against Manson since 2021. His West Hollywood home was raided by investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
In response to the accusations, Manson’s attorney Howard King told the Times that all the allegations have three things in common.
“They are false and are said to have happened over 10 years ago [are] Part of the coordinated attack by Mr Warner’s former partners and associates weaponized mundane details of his personal life and their consensual relationship into a fabricated horror story. ”
The DA’s office said, “Notwithstanding the decisions necessitated by the facts and evidence in this matter, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will continue to protect survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault to the extent legally possible. “We are fully committed to seeking justice.”
The office encourages anyone experiencing abuse to seek assistance and report it to law enforcement as soon as possible.
