According to a cremation approval report obtained by Nexstar, the official cause of death for Marvel and “Nip/Tuck” actor Julian McMahon has been released.

A report from the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office in Florida shows that McMahon died of lung metastasis due to head and neck cancer, which was first obtained by people. His death was considered natural.

McMahon, who was confirmed to have died last week, was personally dealing with cancer.

“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work and he loved his fans,” Australian actor’s wife Kelly McMahon said in a statement obtained by several outlets, including Deadline. “His deepest wish was to bring joy to as many lives as possible. During this time he sought support to enable his family to grieve privacy.

The 56-year-old died peacefully asleep, Kelly added.

Julian McMahon, the son of the former Australian Prime Minister, first worked as a model before moving on to acting. He appeared in Australian daytime soap operas and films before moving to Hollywood.

His earliest credits on American television include appearing in “Another World” and “Charm Med,” according to IMDB. Then, in 2005, McMahon acquired the role of Victor Von Doom in “The Fantastic Four.”

He recreated his role as Doom in “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” in 2007 before moving on to other beloved characters.

McMahon’s latest role included appearing in six episodes of the Netflix Mini series, “The Residence.” This was released earlier this year.

Actress Alyssa Milano, who appeared alongside McMahon in “Charmed,” lamented her death on social media, saying, “Julian had more than my TV husband.”

“Julian McMahon was magic,” Milan said. “That smile. That laugh. His talent. His presence. He walked into the room and brightened it up. Not only was his charismatic, but he was kind. Prank.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
