Encino’s home broke Thursday afternoon the day after the Los Angeles Police Department announced it would increase patrols and enforcement in the neighborhood to deal with the rise in robberies.
The Thursday break-in took place at a home in the 4300 block of Valley Meadow Road around 12:55pm, with five to six men wearing masks driving a black Mercedes.
Los Angeles police responded to the scene with support from above the police helicopter.

Details regarding the intrusion were not made available by police.
On Wednesday, LAPD announced its “Crime Control Strategy” at Encino. This is underway with a “comprehensive” deployment plan after several invasions in the neighborhood, including ones that have proven deadly.
Police officers described the increase in enforcement as a “all on deck” approach.”
Its crime strategy was said to feature increased patrols and visibility, more air coverage from law enforcement helicopters, and even the use of mounted patrols. This was said according to staff members, in addition to the ongoing community outreach program.

Encino has been the site of at least five home burglary in recent weeks, including one in the homes of reality TV stars Edwin Arroyave and Teddi Mellencamp.
But there’s nothing more than the violent double murder of television executive Robin Kay and her musician husband Thomas Delca.
The couple was found dead in a heavily strengthened, nearly $5 million home after being shot in the body multiple times and shot in the head with a gun they owned.
Investigators believe that Raymond Boudarian is currently charged with two murders and one count of home robbery, expanding the wall outside the house and entering through an unlocked door on July 10th.
Despite two calls to 911 in connection with the possible break-in at home that day, one of them may have been from the suspects themselves, but police did not discover the murdered couple until four days later, four days after they returned to their property for welfare checks.
According to TMZ, it is the music director of “American Idol” and her husband who was found shot and killed in a luxury Encino home on Monday afternoon. (Facebook/Robin Kaye)
The police department is facing intense criticism of the response to these 911 calls, and shed light on previous victims of the San Fernando Valley, who were discovered hours after someone asked for help, and even days later.
Despite these public concerns, LAPD officials say crimes at Encino are actually falling year-on-year, but authorities have admitted that crime statistics do not provide much comfort to the fallout of violent crime in people living with concern and neighbors.
The investigation into these recent robbery and the murders of Kay and DeLucas remained ongoing. Anyone with information should contact LAPD. Anonymous tips can be provided online or by calling 800-222-8477.
