Rep. Thomas Massey announced Monday evening that he plans to introduce a “bipartisan war power resolution” on Tuesday to ban America’s involvement in the Israel-Iran war.
“This is not our war. But if that is the case, Congress must decide such matters according to our constitution. Tomorrow we must introduce tomorrow’s bipartisan war power resolution to ban our involvement. I invite all members of Congress to jointly share this resolution,” declared Massy in a post on X.
Fox News Digital reached out to Rep. Massie for comment early Tuesday morning.
Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif, responded to Massie’s tweet, saying that she “is proud to jointly lead this bipartisan war power with Rep. Massie, who has to be privileged and voted.”
“There is no war in Iran. It’s time for all our members to appear on the record. Are you with the neocons who led us to Iraq, or are you standing with the Americans?” Kanna said.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.Y. and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. showed that both support movement.
“Sign on,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in response to Massie’s post.
“We look forward to supporting this resolution of war power,” Tlaib declared in a post. “The American people are not falling into it again. We lied about Iraq’s “weapons of mass destruction” and killed millions of people.

But Mike Lawler, a New York GOP lawmaker who last month supported reelection by President Donald Trump in the True Social Post, showed he wasn’t on board.
“If AOC and Massie are yes, that’s a good bet that I’ll be no. Iran, China, Russia, North Korea are not our friends or allies. In fact, they are trying to undermine us and destabilise our free world. Nuclear Iran is trying to eradicate Israel and ensure everything.

Virginia Sen. Tim Kane introduced a joint resolution Monday. It says, “… Congress instructs the President to terminate the use of the US military due to hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran or the government or part of the military.
“Unless war is absolutely necessary to protect the United States, it is not a national security interest to participate in a war with Iran. I am deeply concerned that the recent escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran will soon be able to draw the United States into another endless conflict,” Kane said in a press release.
“The American people are not interested in sending military personnel to fight another eternal war in the Middle East. This resolution ensures that we have decided to put the men and women of the country in uniforms and do harm.
