The Democratic mayor of the so-called sanctuary city protecting undocumented immigrants, signed an order to cut federal funds on its first day at the Department of Justice (DOJ) before the House Oversight Committee in March I agreed to testify at.
Bondy, sworn as Attorney General on Wednesday, issued many first-day directives, including ordering the DOJ to suspend all federal funds for the sanctuary city.
Bondi also directed the Department of Justice litigation elements to investigate cases in jurisdictions that hamper law enforcement and direct them to be prosecuted when necessary.

In late January, James Kommer, R-KY, chairman of the House Oversight Committee. invited the mayor of the sanctuary city to testify before the panel after launching an investigation into the policy of the sanctuary city and its impact on public safety and federal immigration enforcement.
Comer invited mayors of Boston, Chicago, Denver and New York City to testify at the hearings and requested that they provide documents and communications related to their policies.
The hearing was originally set for February 11th, but a committee aide told Fox News Digital that the committee worked with the mayor to respond to the schedule. The committee received final confirmations from Boston, Denver and New York City earlier this week. I was confirmed from Chicago on Wednesday.

The arrest of ice under President Trump will continue in the “sanctuary” city of immigrants
“The mayor of the Sanctuary owes Americans an explanation of urban policy that violates federal immigration laws by bringing dangerous criminal illegal aliens back to the streets,” Comer said. He told News Digital. “These reckless policies in Democrat-run cities and our nation’s states have become too many preventable tragedy.”

Comer told Fox News Digital that it “is at risk for ice agents forced to take more difficult enforcement actions in jurisdictions that refuse to work with federal authorities.”
“Policies in Boston, Chicago, Denver and New York City prioritize illegal foreigners who are criminally employed over Americans,” Comer added. “This is unacceptable and their leaders must take responsibility.”
Comer vowed to “respond to these mayors and consider measures to enforce compliance with federal immigration laws.”
Since Trump took office in January, Ice has arrested illegal criminal immigrants in sanctuary cities across the country.
