Waiting time is almost over for snack wrap lovers. After months of teasing, McDonald’s announced Tuesday that its beloved menu offering would return to the menu again.
In April, McDonald’s posted a relatively inexplicable post, announcing that his beloved snack wrap would be back on the 14th. However, the company did not reveal which month the fan’s favorite items would return.
Then, on Tuesday, McDonald put all his speculations in bed, writing simply “Snack Wrap 07.10.2025.”
Now you may be wondering what happened to an inexplicable post in April. In X’s follow-up post, written by McDonald (presumably an employee who was tasked with managing social accounts).

The post was also praised by snack wrap fanatics for causing menu items to be returned thanks to social media comments, petitions and drive-thru questions.
“Thanks to you, the snack wrap is back,” read the post Tuesday.
Popeyes may have played a role too.
On Monday, Popeyes debuted three new chicken wraps. This is currently available at participating Popeyes locations nationwide. But before Monday’s announcement, the chain conducted an obvious excavation at McDonald’s on Friday.
In X’s post, it appeared that the people behind Popeyez’s account would troll McDonald’s to only provide vague time slots to return the rap. They shared a subtle April post from McDonald’s with the caption “Chicken Wrap 0x.02.2025”.
Then, on Monday, McDonald simply told fans to “continue to get tuned” to McDonald’s social media channels.
It’s unclear whether Popeye forced a snack wrap to withhold from McDonald’s menu, but it’s safe to say you don’t have to wait longer to get the wrap.
The chicken snack wrap combo meal will be found on Friday, June 8th, 2007 at a McDonald’s restaurant in New York.
It’s been several years since snack wraps became available in the US. The wrap (which variations can still be found internationally) is wrapped in a warm tortilla with chicken, lettuce and cheese. They were released in 2006, followed by Angus offerings. The latter was dropped in 2013 due to McDonald’s changing the menu, but the original snack wrap was removed in 2016.
Several individual franchises were featured in snack wraps, but in 2020, offerings were removed from all McDonald’s restaurants in the US. Since then, there have been no attempts to get them back, using petitions, social media campaigns, or even snack wrap celebrities’ support as leverage.
Popeyes delves into McDonald’s with the latest menu items
McDonald’s teased a new iteration of snack wraps in 2023, and announced it would expand its chicken to meet consumer demands. This includes “expanding Macrispy to almost every market around the world by the end of 2025, expanding Macrispy to wraps and bids.”
In December, McDonald’s US President Joe Arlinger confirmed that snack wraps would return in 2025, saying that the decommissioned items have “cult following.”
Then in February, McDonald’s president and CEO Chris Kempczynski acknowledged “the incredible energy for the return of snack wraps in the United States,” but did not share many others.
In the meantime, McDonald’s has launched MacCrispy Strips (a breaded tender made from all-white meat chicken) on its nationwide menu.
Like snack wraps, international McDonald’s restaurants already have chicken strips. For example, in Malta, it is said that “it’s juicy chicken breast, caught up in a crispy batter, fried to golden perfection with the sauce of your choice.”
