Metro will continue offering free rides on trains and buses as the wildfire crisis continues.

The announcement was made Sunday by Janice Hahn, Los Angeles County Supervisor and Chair of the Metro Board of Directors. “Given the threat that fires and high winds continue to pose to our region, I have authorized @metrolosangeles to continue offering free fares system-wide for as long as this situation continues,” Hahn posted on social media.

Metro had previously announced a fare suspension until the end of last week. The agency said the purpose of the suspension is to “enable residents to travel safely to reunite with loved ones, reach shelters, and deliver essential donations to those in need.” stated that it is aimed at.

Meanwhile, the Metro A line resumed normal service Saturday after crews completed clearing fallen trees and debris and repairing overhead power lines between Southwest Museum and Fillmore stations, officials said.

Transfers between stations have been cancelled.

As of 7 p.m. Sunday, all train lines were operating normally, and the 233 and 761 bus routes had resumed normal service after a temporary detour.

The latest information on Metro’s services is below. Bus detour:
