An investigation is underway in Irwindale after fatally injured a train on a Metrolink truck on Sunday.
Details are limited and it is unclear exactly how the fatal collision occurred near Irwindale Avenue and Edna Place, but Los Angeles County Fire Department officials responded to the scene after 4:20pm and declared a pedestrian dead at the scene.
Footage of the scene posted to the Civic App showed deputies with the LA County Sheriff’s department in a truck that locked out access to the area.

In mail to social media, Irwindale Police Department officials encouraged commuters and residents to avoid the area due to road closures and expect high traffic.
Metrolink said passengers should expect delays between Baldwin Park and Covina as a result of the fatal incident.
California Highway Patrol investigators are handling the investigation.
No information is provided regarding the approximate age or gender of the victim.
