A group of Republican Minnesota lawmakers will propose a law that requires states to include “Trump Shrinkage” under the definition of mental illness.
Five GOP lawmakers will introduce the bill in the state Senate and introduce it to the Health and Human Services Committee, according to FOX 9. The bill aims to specifically add “Trump Mad Syndrome” to the state’s definition of mental illness.
According to the bill, “Trump Frangiment Syndrome” is defined as “the acute onset of delusions in ordinary people who are responding to President Donald J. Trump’s policies and the president.”

“Symptoms may include general hysteria from Trump, which creates indistinguishable differences in legitimate policy in President Donald J. Trump’s actions and signs of mental illness,” the proposal reads.

President Donald Trump and his supporters use the term “Trump Frangiment Syndrome” to criticize political enemies who believe they have a biased obsession with the president and his policies.
While “Mad Syndrome” as a political phrase to chuckle Trump’s critics in recent years has become popular, the term was actually coined in 2003 by late political commentator Charles Krautamar, describing critics of then-President George W. Bush.

The Minnesota proposal features the same phrase Krautamar, which was used to describe “Bush Disruption Syndrome.” This was defined as “the acute onset of delusions in ordinary people who respond to policy, the very existence of the President, George W. Bush.”
