For a 7-month-old boy from San Bernardino County, as unsettling new details continue to emerge, KTLA confirmed that the baby’s mother has a family convicted murderer.

Officials in both San Bernardino and Riverside counties began an extensive search on August 14 after Rebecca and Jake Halo said their little boy was lured out of the parking lot of the Yukaipa Big 5 Sporting Goods Store as strangers reportedly knocked Rebecca unconscious, leaving behind black eyes.

No amber alerts were issued due to no descriptions of the suspect or vehicle, and despite the sheriff’s department deploying helicopters and K-9 teams looking for Emmanuel, neither children nor suspects were found.

For days suspected of being a tempted new revelation emerged, including the couple being uncooperative with investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, and the possibility that there might be a video of Rebecca with black eyes on August 3rd.

Investigators then turn their attention to their parents, using corpse dogs to find the family’s Cabazon home, grabbing Jake’s vehicle, and along with cell phones and other electronic devices, maintaining and disposing of potential evidence.

James Beschusen currently serves 50 years in prison in Palm Springs on March 15, 2017 for the murder of Jaylin Amanda Keith, 27. Sources with family knowledge revealed that Rebecca’s brother James Beschusen was convicted of murdering his girlfriend in an apartment in Palm Springs and staging her as a suicide.

According to reports from the Desert Sun, the brutal murder unfolded on March 15, 2017.

Jaylynn Amanda Keith, 27, was found in the bathtub in the couple’s apartment.

Described by prosecutors as a “gun lover” during the trial, Beushausen struggled with alcoholism, which led to rehabilitation stints with Keith and relationship issues. The 27-year-old woman reportedly told her family he was leaving 35 a day before the murder.

Prosecutors also said that when Keith snatched the pistol from his gun safety, Keith grew up at one point, hoping to hide the keys in the safe later.

Investigators alleged, and the ju-deputies believed she had been murdered in the night, so Beushausen knocked her out, put her in the tub and shot her in the head, using a shower curtain to protect herself from bloody splashes.

He then responded to the paramedics by repliing to the 911 dispatcher that he was asleep when his girlfriend took away her own life in the bathroom.

Detectives discovered a head wound independently of gunshots that suggested Keith was assaulted and her death was staged to make her look like a suicide.

As the investigation continued, Beushausen quit his job and moved to McAllen, Texas, where he was arrested on October 18th in a shopping centre parking lot by Palm Springs investigators.

Almost a year later, in October 2018, he was sentenced to 50 years in prison for Keith’s murder.

Emmanuel is missing almost a week after alleged temptation, but Harros’s attorney Vincent Hughes claims his client is innocent and tells KTLA that the couple is suing information and updates and providing what they have.

The lawyer also said law enforcement has made few attempts to search for the baby outside searching the property of Kabazon in Halo and where the couple went to investigators.

“They don’t care what everyone thinks about them,” Hughes added. “They just want them to find a child. They want him to come home.”

Sara Welch of KTLA contributed to this report.
