The conservative author, media figure, and former Treasury official Monica Crowley was confirmed to become Secretary of State late Monday and become the chief of protocol along with the ambassador’s rank.
A longtime Fox News contributor and foreign analyst, Crawley previously served in the first Trump administration, during which he received the Alexander Hamilton Award from the Treasury Department.
“Monica will represent the administration of major US events, including the 250th birthday of the United States in 2026, the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles,” President Donald Trump announced her nomination in a December statement.
Crawley holds a PhD in International Relations from Columbia University.

The Arizona native grew up in New Jersey and began his career when he worked as a research assistant, former President Richard Nixon’s post-president.
Her book, Nixon Off the Record, was published in the wake of her role.
She joined the Fox News Channel in 1996 – airwaves the same year – and often appeared in the late Alan Colmes along with Sean Hannity, the host of Hannity and its predecessor Hannity & Colmes.

She also starred in one episode of “House of Cards,” where she performed herself. He also hosted the syndicate, “Monica Crowley Show.”
She has won several other awards, including the 2010 Woman of the Year.
During Trump’s first term, she retreated from her role as the National Security Council when allegations of plagiarism of her doctoral dissertation surfaced. Crawley rejected the claim as a “hit job.”

The American Travel Association praised her appointment, saying she would serve a “vital role” in the Trump administration.
“The speed at which this decision was made gives us a great sense of confidence that Trump will try to maximize the 10-year opportunity for sports and events ahead,” CEO Geoff Freeman said.
“The Landmark Moment [she will be involved in planning] It attracts millions of tourists to America and brings lasting benefits to our economy while showing us the best of our great nation. ”
