More Southern California student visas have been revoked this time in Orange County

The Trump administration has cancelled hundreds of student visas across the country, and the withdrawal, which has already begun to affect several local universities, is now involved in students from Orange County.

The affected schools range from large institutions such as UC and Cal schools to smaller private schools such as Chapman University.

In its weekly update, the California State University System said it is working with individual campuses to “monitor” the situation surrounding visa revocations and to provide assistance to students in need.

LA County has remained “very short” rainfall despite recent storms

“CSU students are being asked to work with the university’s International Student Services Office,” a school system official said. “CSU is committed to the happiness and success of all students and celebrates the rich diversity of backgrounds and perspectives that international students contribute to CSU.”

As of Tuesday, a total of 70 students had been affected by Visa cancellation in 2025, according to CSU officials. As of April 6, at least nine people had been cancelled at UCLA, with California Attorney General Rob Bonta saying nearly 100 students at UC and CSU schools and CSU schools and Stanford University had remodeled Visas.

KTLA spoke with officials at Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday morning, and he said four students had revoked their visas so far. Additionally, the spokesman confirmed that the school had not received the words before the cancellation.

These four Fullerton students are no longer on campus, spokesman Michael Mahi said.

“The university is in touch with each of those students and we have given them a legal referral,” Mahi told Annie Rose Ramos of KTLA 5. “Now we are working with students on continuity in our degree program. [because] It is really important to us to make sure they continue their education, and we will see how we can do it or how it works. ”

Legal referrals will not be made through universities, but through third parties working with the CSU system, Mahi added.

Of course, students are bear the brunt of federal orders, which negatively affect their university experience.

“That’s absolutely terrifying [that] Our fellow students cancelled their visas and deported them just because they dared to come here and built their future and built their future,” a Fullerton student in California who didn’t provide their names told KTLA on Wednesday.

“It’s shocking and sad to see this happen to students here… I didn’t think this would come to our campus,” said another student, Melissa.

“A lot of these students work so hard to receive acceptance letters, so that just to cancel it, that seems unfair,” Yazmin said.

Bonta and 19 other attorney generals across the United States have submitted a brief summary of Amicus challenging the Trump administration’s student visa revocation.
