Authorities announced Friday that two more minors have been identified as victims of a child pornography incident against Joseph Seiders, drummer of Canadian indie rock band The New Pornographers.
Seiders, a 44-year-old Palm Desert resident, was arrested on April 9, where he allegedly recorded several boys using the toilet on Chick-Fil-A.
The charges involving the two new victims were filed against SEIDERS on June 5th and were unrelated to the April incident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, these additional charges against SEIDERS include minor conduct with minors with minors by force or fear, using child pornography, possession of child pornography, annoyance/child abuse, and invasion of privacy.
Authorities did not disclose the age or gender of the two new victims.

Seiders have been in custody since his arrest on April 9, two days after the 11-year-old boy told deputies he recorded him while using the bathroom at a fast food restaurant in the 73,000 block of Dinah Shore Drive.
After obtaining a search warrant, police searched the drummer’s home, vehicle and cell phone and said “there is evidence that suggests him in two reported cases, along with additional crimes, including possession of child pornography.”
The 44-year-old was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for possession of child pornography, child nuisance/abuse, invasion of privacy and attempts to invade privacy.
The band of new pornographicalists, Seiders, issued a statement via Instagram on April 17th.
“Everyone in the band is absolutely shocked, terrifying and devastated by the news of Joe Cider’s accusations. We quickly cut off all ties with him,” the statement said. “Our minds are directed at everyone affected by his actions.”
The Sheriff’s Office says this is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information about these crimes is being asked to call investigator Iniguez at 760-836-1600.
