The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said his mother and daughter were shot dead in a shooting near Caldwell Street Elementary School in Compton on Tuesday evening.
Deputies responded to reports of the shooting at the intersection of Caldwell Street and Central Avenue at 7:05pm Tuesday, according to LASD.
Officers found the first woman on the street west of the intersection, with the second being a vehicle on the east side of the intersection, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
LASD officials provided assistance until the Compton Fire Station arrived, but both died at the scene.
Police said the two were in a car on Caldwell Street waiting for the light as the person in the vehicle fired. According to LASD, the Shooter’s car fled the scene south on Central Avenue.
There were no details regarding the motives for the shooting.
The victims have been identified as 45 and 22 years old. At this time, no additional information is available until contacting their nears relatives.
