The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Miliam Castillo of Fillmore, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 2nd, lawmakers responded to a crash at Ventura Street, just west of D Street in Fillmore, around 8:45pm.

Five other people, including two seriously injured children, were taken to medical care. The suspect’s 5-year-old son was later killed from a hospital injury.
Investigators alleged that Castillo was drinking before driving past the two-way center-turn lane on Ventura Street. She was driving in the wrong direction when her car collided head-on with Don Diego’s car.
On July 8th, Castillo was arrested on two counts of total vehicle manslaughter while drunk. She was booked and later released after posting a $100,000 bail.
