The motorcyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a mini-bike rider who traveled the wrong way in the Antelope Valley.
On February 23rd, Highway Patrol during Noot Time, California, received reports of “reckless and illegal mini-bike and off-road vehicle activity.”
“Despite police officers responding to many locations across the Antelope Valley area, participants in these activities repeatedly avoid law enforcement, ignore traffic laws, and put in danger for innocent drivers. I exposed it,” CHP said.
A few hours later, at 3:35pm, officers responded to a hit and rank rush at Elizabeth Lake Road near San Franciskete Canyon Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two mini-bike riders were moving on the wrong side of the road when they collided with the rider on a Harley-Davidson bike.
Both Minibike riders fled the scene and suffered serious injuries to the victim, CHP said.
Investigators are looking for suspects and are seeking the help of the public.
“This reckless neglect of public safety is unacceptable,” said Captain Zagorski, commander of the CHP Antelope Valley.
