Tens of thousands of celebrations pour into the Indio on Friday, and through the weekend, the first half of the 2025 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival will feature vintage, alternative, indie pop, R&B, electronica and other artists across a wide range of styles and sounds.
According to a statement released by Fest Media Rep Goldenvoice, “Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is one of the most acclaimed festivals in the world,” Coachella mixes groundbreaking artists of all genres with a considerable selection of artistic installations from around the world.
Friday entertainment spanning the eight outdoor stages of the Empire Polo Club include Lady Gaga, Artemas, Knee Cup, Yett, Bertran, Gricksen and three sacred souls. Jam from 1pm
Midnight.
Saturday’s lineup will open at Triste Juventud X Totem, followed by T-Pain, Shoreline Mafia, Beth Gibbons and Millennial Chart-Toppers Green Day and Weezer.
Sunday’s opening game will include Sin Lastro and Julia Nico, closing with Junior H, Chase & Status, Dennis Cruz, Arca, Francis Mercier, Show Stripper, Show Stripper, Polo & Pan and XG.

Organizers say up to 40,000 campers will use bivouacs on the premises, while others will pack area hotels and motels, flood 10 interstates and arrive via their own ride or ride-sharing services.
At the end of March, the Indio Police Department closed Avenue 50 between Monroe Street and Madison Avenue. It will be closed until March 5th for dual week entertainment related to Coachella and for the Stage Coach Music Festival, which will continue on the weekend of April 25th-27th.
From Friday, the city of Indio will not be accessible between Avenue 49 and 52, between Avenue 50 between Jackson and Madison Streets, or between Avenue 49 and 50, or along Madison, according to the city of Indio.
Police say these closures will take effect every weekend of the festival, April 11-13, April 18-20 and April 25-27.
Officials warn that delays in travel along Washington Street between I-10 and Avenue 52 will result in Jefferson Street and 48 and 52 Avenues entering the Empire Polo Club Grounds. There are also major delays
Expected at highway 111 in Jefferson and Monroe at exits from all highways.
Slightly faster travel options may be available on Jackson, Calhoun Street and Golf Centre Parkway. There are golf centre parkways in the north and south.
“Following the festival every Monday, the streets and I-10 surrounding the site will be busy with over 40,000 campers leaving the area,” according to a police statement.
Shuttle services are available daily from area hotels and motels.
There is also a designated pay ride spot for Uber and Lyft users on the southwest corner of Avenue 49 and Monroe, with family and taxi pickups and drop-offs designated at Avenue 52 and the northeast corner of Madison.
In addition to Indio Police, other law enforcement agencies will lend support throughout the event, including the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.
During celebrations, arrests for various, usually misdemeanor offences are common.
