This week, the big, beautiful bill has become a huge throbbing migraine for Congressional Republicans.

That’s thanks to the huge, ugly brawl between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

It began on Tuesday, with a hang up over a big beautiful bill between Congressional Republicans and Musk. Musk characterized it as “unpleasant and hateful.” He then turned on all 215 House Republicans who voted for Jesus on the bill last month.

“You know what’s wrong,” declared Musk.

House speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) tried to call a mask to froth the political flames.

“I called Elon last night. He didn’t answer. But I want to talk to him today,” Johnson said.

Certainly, the wealthiest man in the world would have the bandwidth for the speaker of the house.

However, the hang-up was only beginning.

Rather than replying to the speaker’s call, Musk returned a political fire. It’s not a phone call. But on his own communication platform.

In X, Musk posted an iconic photo of Uma Thurman in a yellow jumpsuit and wielded a sword from a Quentin Tarantino movie poster.

Musk’s influence, and a rapid pivot – a scared Congressional Republican.

“It’s true that it’s the problem, or that it caused a bigger challenge for us,” House Budget Committee Chairman Geordie Arlington said, “R-Tex.” He has a loud voice. He has a big audience. More importantly, it’s a reliable voice. But he’s wrong about this issue. ”

Still, Republicans were not udging because Musk demanded that lawmakers create new legislation.

“Eron, look,” said Johnson, angry. “There’s no time for brand new bills.”

The chairman added that Republicans in Congress “should not go back to the drawings.”

The political controus began to boil down as Republicans quickly became enraged with Musk.

“Give us productive feedback that allows us to operate. I can’t help with praise,” Rn.C. of Musk’s vague criticism of the law and the scale of deficit spending.

Rep. Warren Davidson of R-Ohio is one of two House Republicans who voted no on the big, beautiful bill last month.

“Part of the goals I had with masks and conservatives like me who had reserved about the bill is to improve that,” Davidson said. “The sad thing is that this bill is growing a deficit in this legislature.”

Rep. Thomas Massey, R-Ky. was the goper of other homes who voted for Ney. He says Musk learned how the Congress runs the difficult way.

David Marcus: Mask vs. It’s a big and beautiful invoice magazine, but GOP requires both

“The trust was misplaced, and I think he has the right to be mad at our leadership,” Massey said.

But suddenly, Democrats have created a strange bed fellow in Musk. They viewed the opposition of masks as an opportunity to help them adhere to the law.

“He’s not my tea, to put it gently. But Republicans have already heard him,” said Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., Musk’s Senate minority leader.

But at least one Democrat called out his colleague for his contradiction with Musk.

“We’ve been dumping all over musks and destroying Teslas,” said Sen. John Fetterman of D-Penn. “And now, all of a sudden, now, we might come back to him more.”

All this came when the Trump administration asked Congress to cut its spending. Budget Director Las Vault sent lawmakers a $9.4 billion “rescue” request. The measure calls for lawmakers to cover the money they have already been allocated.

“$9.4 billion is sea tears,” Rep. Ralph Norman said. “If we can’t get this now, God will help us reduce the number of true deficits.”

The retirement plan targeted foreign aid and public broadcasting.

“They sent us a $9 billion worth of withdrawal package that chases Big Bird and Cookie Monsters,” D-Wisc said. MP Mark Pokan is mourning at Vought’s hearing.

The White House supports the tax bill after Musk calls it “nasty and hateful.”

An analysis of the Congressional Budget Office of the Large and Beautiful Bill found that it added $2.3 trillion to the deficit over a decade. But Republicans say those numbers are wrong. The CBO also published an analysis specific to President Trump’s tariffs. The CBO forecasts a $3 trillion deficit decline over the next decade due to tariffs. CBOs cannot assess tariffs under one big beautiful bill. Because they are not part of the law. But supporters of one big beautiful bill say the measure, coupled with tariffs, will reduce the deficit by $500 billion over the next decade.

Some Republicans believe that CBO’s estimates of deficits are what causes musk.

“I think their assumptions are wrong. We’ve been complaining about it for a long time,” Johnson said.

But don’t forget that this is the Congressional Budget Office. Republicans run Congress.

“Why aren’t you getting the numbers you want?” I really asked you about the speaker.

“They’re using different scores,” Johnson replied.

“Would you consider withdrawing CBOs from the Legislative Sector Budget Bill?” I followed up.

“I would,” Johnson replied.

However, the CBO is the least worried about Johnson as the president-Mask fight became a supernova on Thursday.

“What message do you need to hear from him to make sure you’re on the same page?” I asked Johnson in the mask – not connected yet.

“I want to answer the questions Elon has and make sure he fully understands that this is not a spending program,” Johnson said.

“Do you think he misunderstood this?” I asked.

“Yes,” Johnson said.

Senate Republicans, the bill’s NOES, praised Musk’s solid opposition to one big beautiful bill.

“It seems we are both on the same wavelength and we are very, very skeptical,” Senator R-Ky said.

On Thursday afternoon, Musk argued that President Trump would lose the White House and that Democrats would control the House for the $280 million poured into the 2024 campaign.

“He obviously played a positive role,” said R-Wisc. said Sen. Ron Johnson. “He helped spend that kind of money. He attracted a lot of people.”

But Democrats were less certain about Musk’s political rainbow.

“What’s shedding of Elon Musk is just crocodile tears,” said Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass.

Democrats saw a breakup between the president and musk.

“This is a divorce that was inevitable, but predictable,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal said.

Some Senate Republicans argued that Musk was not worried about the bill in X, or even President Trump torching President Trump.

“President Trump has the largest platform on the planet,” said Sen. Bernie Moreno of R-Ohio.

It is too early to determine whether the incineration of Musk’s big and beautiful bill would hinder efforts to pass the law, particularly with the tight vote margins of the House and Senate.

“It’s useless,” admitted Mike Johnson. “But I don’t think it changed the trajectory.”

But R-Tenn. Rep. Tim Burchett of the Republicans said they were at an enviable crossroads.

“They have options against Trump and Musk,” Burchett said.
