First Fox: The top official of the NAACP in Cleveland, Ohio, was captured in a video explaining how her organization gives a “justice” award to members of the state’s school board who openly ignores the Trump administration’s federal push to ban DEIs in schools.
“We have school board members all over the country, but in Ohio, in particular, we have school board members who understand what students are. Some Ohio board members refused to sign what I’m calling, immoral proposals from the president, anti-DEI, anti-diversity, fairness and inclusion orders. Zoom footage obtained by Ohio.News.
“So, in our Teaching Truth of Action, we call it a teaching in of joy. We give something that we give a judicial award to the members of the school board who get up and say no. We’re not signing it. We believe students are the most important thing and are looking for students because it’s their job.”
Several school districts in Ohio have joined districts across the country to sign statements with the federal government, stating they have not adhered to “illegal DEI practices,” Fox News Digital reported earlier. Other districts have not been praised and praised by the NAACP for their actions.

The NAACP, along with the ZINN Education Project, promoted the award given to “a member of the Ohio State Board of Education who refused to sign an anti-DEI pledge” as part of the promotion of the June 7th The Teach Truth Day of Action Day and the event.

The Trump Department of Education has warned state education sectors in all 50 states that they need to remove diversity, equity and inclusion policies or risk losing federal funds if they don’t comply with Trump’s previous executive orders.
In January, Trump published “Fundamental Radical Indoctrination from Kindergarten to High School,” which prohibits teaching materials that are considered K-12 students and materials that promote “gender ideology” and critical racial theory. The order requires law enforcement agencies to investigate educational institutions suspected of promoting such content and to investigate educational institutions that criminally prosecute educators who support the social transition of minors.

“Breaking federal law puts important funds at serious risk, such as Title I for ideas for disadvantaged students and children with disabilities,” Cook told Fox News Digital. “That money is not political and it is not essential, it supports students who claim to turn on the lights in struggling schools, continue to pay to read interventions and protect them.
“This is not about fairness, it’s not about control. And politicizing in children’s education is a guaranteed path to intergenerational failure. It’s time to hold all rebellious districts accountable. We’ll strip you of funds, notify your parents, and demand you return to academics, not activism in school.”
