NASA spokesman Bethany Stevens has been praised for ensuring the return of two astronauts who have been left behind on the International Space Station for over nine months.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Stevens said that his mission to save astronaut Barry was “Butch” Willmore and Snie Williams “a big victory for the Trump administration.”
Success is just the beginning, she said Trump’s candidate to become NASA administrator Jared Isaacman has turned to “Mars and beyond.”
Trump suggests he will pay overtime “from his own pocket” for the astronaut he was previously stuck
SpaceX and Polaris Mission Commander Jared Isaacman will escape from the “dragon” capsule of the manned Polaris Dawn Mission after jumping off the coast of Drite Ltugas, Florida on September 15, 2024.
“This is a huge victory for the Trump administration, and it didn’t happen without President Trump’s intervention. Next, continuing to carry on President Trump’s ambitious space agenda that he promoted in his inaugural address is to confirm the candidate for NASA administrator Jared Isaacman,” Stevens said.
She is a humanitarian who worked extensively with St. Jude, stressing that Isaac Man was “the first civilian to play a human spaceship.” Like Trump, Isaacman is a “outsider,” she said.
“President Trump was once considered an outsider, and the Americans have taken him in office and show how much he appreciates the business side he brings to the table. And Isaacman has a background as a very successful business entrepreneur,” Stevens said. “I think he’s good at steering here at NASA and carrying out the presidential agenda, as is the case with the 30 astronauts who wrote in support of him and several GOP governors.”
Last Tuesday, 62-year-old Wilmore and 59-year-old Williams were splattered into the US Bay off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, after Elon Musk’s SpaceX Dragon spacecraft arrived at the ISS a few days ago.
Stevens revealed that NASA is ready to “roll the ball” after it returns to Earth safely, but noted that their mission is expected to begin in the heart of Washington, D.C.

NASA astronauts were stuck in space due to Biden’s “lack of courage,” the White House says
Isaac Man is facing a future Senate confirmation hearing as Trump seeks to secure yet another candidate appointed to his administration.
Earlier this month, eight Republican governors of Florida – Ron DeSantis. Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas. Greg Abbott of Texas. Bill Lee, Tennessee. Brian Kemp of Georgia. Mike Kehoe of Missouri. Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma – Ted Cruz, chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, wrote to R-Texas. They advocated a “quick” confirmation, noting Trump’s candidate’s “unparalleled ability to drive bold initiatives” and Isaac Man’s understanding of “the complex landscape of modern space exploration.”

“I think these governors recognize the results of the November election as a mandate from Americans to implement and bring about change,” Stevens told Fox News Digital. “And President Trump has been making that change since day one. The next step here is to quickly confirm Jared Isaacman, so he can tackle the president’s ambitious space agenda, as he touted in his inaugural speech.”
“We were going to go to the moon and Mars and beyond, and at this point we’ve been under four years to get through that rather ambitious agenda,” she said. “And we need to implement his leadership here at NASA to roll the ball there, so I think that’s the next step to becoming America’s first in space.”
