Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday he wrote to the Nobel Prize Committee to nominate President Donald Trump for the Peace Prize.
Trump and Netanyahu met at the White House on Monday to discuss developments in the Middle East.

“I want to express the appreciation and admiration of all Israelis, but also about Jews and many of the world’s many admirers, your leadership, your leadership in the free world, leadership in legitimate causes, pursuit of peace and security,” he said. “I think the President has an extraordinary team and our team together will create an extraordinary combination to match the challenges and seize opportunities.
“But the President already recognizes a great opportunity. He has forged Abraham’s agreement. He is forgering peace, as we are talking about. “So I would like to present you with the President, Mr. President, the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize Committee. It is nominating you for the Peace Prize.

Trump accepted the letter, saying he was unaware of the nomination and was grateful to the Prime Minister.
