The suspect, who was hoping in connection with the Nevada shooting, was arrested after multiple state chases who shot the victim along 15 highways in the Mojave Desert.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Gloria Olegell confirmed with KTLA that the suspect in question shot and killed a victim in Nevada and fled south.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including locations in Nevada, have not been revealed.

The suspect shot another person on 15 highways and an additional victim was shot dead in Baker, Olegell said.
“The suspect eventually stopped and he was taken into custody,” Olegel continued.
Exactly how many people were shot and their conditions are unknown.

Although no details surrounding the active investigation were released by authorities, KTLA spoke with a clerk at the 76 gas station on Baker Boulevard.
The clerk added that he observed a man holding a large handgun with what appears to be a silencer. It seemed the man was looking for someone, but he didn’t seem to be in a hurry, the clerk elaborated further.

The employee could not provide any further information about what he saw. The KTLA requested details of the incident, but none were immediately available.
Baker is a census-designated location in central San Bernardino County along the 15 highways and has a population of 442. Known as the “gateway to Death Valley,” the country desert community is home to some of the world’s highest thermometers.
