Authorities have released new information on searching for a missing Southern California man who disappeared in 2019.

According to the Claremont Police Department, 49-year-old Reuben Moreno was reported missing by his family in August 2019. He was a member of the “Spirited Assembly of His Path,” a Hemet-based religious organization.

He was last alive in his home in the 3900 block of Swarthmore Court in Claremont in December 2017, police said members of the religious group gathered.

At the time, he lived in the house with other members of the organization. The group does not occupy that property today.

Reuben Moreno, 49, was reported missing in August 2019. The detective said he was affiliated with the then religious group Spirit Lead Assembly. (Clairmont Police Station)

Reuben is said to be a Hispanic man 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and dark hair. His family and loved ones have not heard from him and are worried about his happiness.

“The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Reuben remain under investigation
At this point, the Claremont Police Department has not commented on whether a foul play would be
Authorities said.

It is unknown where he was heading when he lost his disappearance.

Moreno is the second missing person with connections to the “Spiritual Guide Assembly of His Path” organization. Emilio Salem Ganem, 42, of Nashville, was reported missing on May 25, 2023 after visiting Starbucks in the Redlands. He had left the religious group shortly before his loss, detectives said.

Investigators noted that there is currently no known connection between the two male cases.

“We recognize public interest in the possibility of a connection between this incident and the investigation of another missing person from Redland,” Claremont Police said. “At this point, the only known similarity between the two cases is the individual’s relationship to the spirit lead assembly. Cases are being investigated individually by each agency.”
