According to the latest national opinion polls, President Biden’s approval ratings remain low, even as the country’s 46th president leaves office in just a few days.

According to the latest CNN poll conducted by SSRS, only 36% of Americans approve of Biden’s job in the White House, while 64% say they disapprove. The approval rating matches the president’s previous low in cable news network polls during Biden’s single term.

The poll was released Wednesday, hours before the president was to deliver his prime-time farewell address to the nation, and comes just days before Biden’s term ends and President-elect Trump takes over the White House. Ta.

A USA Today/Suffolk University/Marist University national poll and CNN survey conducted earlier this month found Biden’s approval rating at 43%, slightly higher but still in negative territory.

Three polls also show that many Americans view Biden’s presidency as a failure.

Of those questioned in a CNN poll, 61% said they viewed Biden’s overall presidency as a failure, while 38% said they viewed it as a success.

According to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll released Tuesday, 44% of registered voters say history will judge Biden as a failed president and 27% say Biden will be judged as a fair president. Ta. Of those asked, 21% said history would view Biden as a good president, but just 5% said Biden would be viewed as a great president.

Just over a third of adults nationwide asked in a Marist poll released Wednesday said Biden will be remembered as one of the worst presidents in U.S. history, while 19% said he was below average. He answered that he is considered the president.

Twenty-eight percent of participants said Biden’s performance was considered average, while 19% said he was considered above average or one of the best presidents in U.S. history.

In a speech from the Oval Office, Biden praised his leadership as a president who has strengthened American leadership abroad while promoting political stability at home, guided the nation through the coronavirus pandemic and made historic investments. It appears that he is aiming to solidify his track record as a leader. Deliver infrastructure and clean energy while lowering prescription drug prices.

In a letter to the American people released early Wednesday morning, Biden said that when he took office four years ago, “we faced the worst pandemic in 100 years, the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and the worst attack on our country.” “I was facing it,” he said. Democracy since the Civil War. ”

“Today, we have the strongest economy in the world and have created a record 16.6 million new jobs. Wages are rising and inflation continues to fall. The racial wealth gap is It’s the lowest it’s been in 20 years,” he said.

A majority of Americans say this is how they will view President Biden’s term.

Biden’s approval rating hovered in the low to mid-50s during his first six months in the White House. But Biden was widely criticized for his handling of the chaos surrounding the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and in the summer of that year, there was a surge in coronavirus cases, mainly among unvaccinated people. As a result, the president’s numbers began to decline from August 2021.

The president’s plummeting approval ratings have been compounded by soaring inflation (which began spiking in the summer of 2021 and remains a major economic concern for Americans to this day) and the number of people trying to enter the United States along the southern border. It was also fueled by a surge in immigration.

Biden’s approval rating plummeted in the fall of 2021 and never returned to positive territory.

Trump will succeed Biden, and the president’s single term in the White House will end on Monday, January 20th.

But 44% also said Trump would be seen as a historically failed president, according to the USA Today/Suffolk University poll.

One in five people said they considered Trump a great president, 19% said he was a good president, and 27% said he was a fair president.

President Trump ended his first term with negative approval ratings, including a 47% approval rating in a Fox News poll four years ago.

Four years ago, a Marist poll found that at the end of President Trump’s first term, 47% thought he would be remembered as one of America’s worst presidents.

As President Trump prepares to take office again, the Marist poll shows that his ratings remain low, with 44% of Americans viewing him favorably and 49% saying he will be the next president. I have a negative opinion of the president.

However, since Mr. Trump won an overwhelming victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election in November, numerous polls conducted have shown that opinion of Mr. Trump’s first term has increased. The vice president succeeded Biden as the 2024 Democratic standard-bearer in July after the president withdrew from the race following his disastrous debate performance against Trump.

The poll also shows that Americans have high expectations of President Trump regarding the economy.

“While many Americans feel the current economy is not working well for them, people nationwide are becoming more optimistic about their financial future,” the poll says. was highlighted.

The survey also showed that Americans are divided on President Trump’s proposed mass deportation of illegal immigrants.

More than 6 in 10 people disapprove of President Trump’s promise to pardon supporters convicted of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to a poll.
