Joseph Saders, the drummer of the indie rock band’s new pornographic film, has been charged with possession of child pornography after being arrested for allegedly videotaping of an unsuspecting boy in Palm’s desert Chick Phil-a-toilet.

Seiders, 44, has been charged with felony possession of child pornography and is charged with misdemeanor of hiding a camera and trying to hide the camera with the intent to invade a child under the age of 18 and invade privacy. He pleaded not guilty to the April 11 charge, two days after being taken into custody by Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies.

After the arrest, the Canadian band announced that the Seiders are no longer part of the group.

Seiders was taken into custody by lawmakers on April 9th, shortly after 5pm, after the second incident in which the boy allegedly entered the Chickfil A toilet while he was inside.

A staff member at a restaurant on Dynashore Drive, Palm Desert, recognized him from the incident two days ago and warned lawmakers. Sheriff’s officials say on April 7 the 11-year-old boy reported “an unknown male adult recorded him on his cell phone while using the toilet at the location.” Deputies said the staff later identified the person as cider.

Investigators for the Riverside County Sheriff said he was a search warrant for Cider’s residence, vehicle and cell phone. The evidence suggests him to two reported cases, along with additional crimes, including possession of child pornography.”

Seiders have been booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of possession of child pornography, child nuisance/abuse, invasion of privacy and attempted invasion of privacy. Investigators said the investigation is ongoing and “may include additional casualties.”

Riverside County Sheriff’s appointment records show he is in custody on $1 million bail. In a court application, prosecutors described the victim as “particularly vulnerable” and said “crime plans for planning refinement and professionalism.”

“Everyone in the band is absolutely shocked, terrifying and devastated by the news of Joe Cider’s accusations. We quickly cut off all ties with him,” the band’s statement said. “Our minds are directed at everyone affected by his actions.”

Riverside County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact investigators for the deployment of a sheriff at (760) 836–1600 or (951) 776–1099.
