A new video obtained by KTLA shows the moment when a small plane crashed into a Simi Valley neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon, killing two people and dogs inside the ship, spreading fire and destruction into a nearby home.
Just before 2pm, about 40 firefighters responded to a call that the plane had collided with two smoke-seeking homes in the 200 block of Hymeadow Street, Simi Valley’s Wood Ranch community, officials confirmed.
Security footage from the nearby ring captured the slightest view of the plane crashing into the sides of two houses, erupting into destruction with a loud loud voice.

At the time, residents were inside the house, but were able to evacuate before the fire broke out.
The neighbor spoke to KTLA’s Omar Lewis and when he noticed the plane was flying abnormally low and tilting, he explained that he was outside a tree outside the house, and soon realized he was witnessing an ongoing emergency.
Shortly after he left to tell his wife what he was looking at, the plane swooped down to where he was just working and slammed quickly.

Around 8pm on Saturday, the Ventura County Fire Department confirmed that two people had been killed in a crash crash (pilot and passenger) with the dog.

Authorities have not released information about the victim’s identity, but unidentified reports say the small aircraft was registered with the pilot who rescued the dog on the plane, and the dog involved in the collision was probably one of the rescued people.
