Passed by the state Senate and Congress, the package allocates $25 million to the California Department of Justice to support legal combat against Trump’s federal policies, including environmental regulations and illegal immigration. While Newsom prepares for a potential showdown with the Trump administration, he is also working with Trump to secure federal disaster relief for the Los Angeles wildfires.
