California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Vice President JD Vance exchanged Barb on the Trump administration’s massive deportation policy this weekend after the Vice President’s leave to Disneyland in Golden State.
Vance had two Democrat children posted on social media at an amusement park in California with his wife Usha and two children. On social media, some immigrant families posted that they were unable to spend the same quality time together due to the administration’s efforts to detain and remove American immigrants.
“I hope you enjoy your family time, @jdvance. The family you are torn certainly won’t,” Newsom writes to X.

The Vice President responded by thanking Newsom for the well, without addressing the governor’s comments that his family was being separated.
“I had a great time, thank you,” Vance wrote back.

Vance’s visit came shortly after an ice attack on two farms in California. Meanwhile, federal agents detained hundreds of suspected illegal immigrants, sparking protests against immigration enforcement work. One person was killed in the attack and another was seriously injured.
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Rodney Scott said 10 illegal immigrant minors, including eight companions, were found on a farm in Camarillo and are currently investigating child labor violations.

The farm operation comes after weeks of anti-ice protests in Southern California over an attack targeting migrant workers at local businesses. In response to these protests that began last month, the administration deployed National Guard troops and Marines in Los Angeles despite opposition from Newsom.
