The crash of two vehicles on I-15 Freeway left nine people hospitalized in San Bernardino County Sunday morning, officials say.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire, it happened in the southbound lane north of Baker. The department did not reveal how the vehicle collided, but the photo posted to X shows two severely damaged cars of the brush from the side of the highway.
One black sedan is seen with extensive front-end damage, while the other car (probably a silver or grey Prius) is covered in front and top-end damage and dirt with crushed roof and windshield. The back of either car was not shown in the photo.

“This morning, a county fire responded to a crash of two vehicles in the southbound lane of Interstate 15, leading the scene where nine patients, including four by medical helicopters, were transported to a community hospital,” the department said.
Officials said there was no need for fire or escape, but all nine adults were determined to require treatment and transport for injuries ranging from moderate to severe. The patent’s identity and status were not revealed.
“Four ground ambulances and three medical helicopters were dispatched, and traffic was closed when each landed on the highway,” read the department’s X-Post. “A fourth helicopter was later dispatched to meet one of the ground ambulances at a local hospital and continue transporting them from there.”
The San Bernardino County Fire said the highway has reopened to traffic.
