After about a week and a half of life-saving efforts, the 15-year-old succumbed to a stab wound at Riverside County Hospital Tuesday.
The stab wound occurred on Friday, February 21st around 10:25pm, according to Hemet Police Station.
Dispatch received a call from another boy on the scene saying his friend had just been stabbed in the 100 block of North Hamilton Avenue.
Officers arrived quickly and found the 15-year-old victim suffering from a stab wound.
According to the department, officers began offering lifesaving measures until medical personnel arrived, transporting victims to local trauma centres for further treatment.
“In spite of efforts to save lives, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the victim was declared to have succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital,” Hemet police said on release. “The victim’s name has not been released at this time.”
Police told San Bernardino San the suspect was not in custody Tuesday afternoon.
Details are limited and police did not immediately say if there was an explanation of the suspect, but noted that the Hemet Police Department’s Investigation Bureau was handling the investigation.
