New York Attorney General Leticia James is raiding supporters for big money days after the Trump administration accused the Trump administration of alleged fraud, including several homes she owns.
The money bid will seek donations from $500 in the form of invitations to the event Tuesday from 5:30 to 7pm, climbing to the eye-opening $18,000, the maximum allowed under the New York Act in favour of a 2026 re-elect bid.
The invitation features a photo of James surrounded by a circular gay pride flag.

Heidler’s fundraiser will be hosted at the homes of leftist activists Rod Grosier and Rob Smith.
“Letitia James fights every day for our rights. This is an opportunity to show Letitia that we have her,” reads the events page on the left-handed fundraising website ActBlue.

This week’s New York AG was subject to a federal criminal referral over an allegation in an official August 2023 document that she falsely claimed that her “major residence” was a home in Norfolk, Virginia.
James, who also has a home in Brooklyn, bought Virginia property along with Nie that year when he was already in office as New York’s Attorney General.
The Supreme Court has been poised to make key decisions that could limit the power of district judges.
New York requires that AG be residing in the state for at least five years before being elected, and while he is in office.
The document containing the power of attorney for the purchase of Virginia was signed by James in August of that year and was completed with the declaration, “I intend to occupy this property as my primary residence.”

The post spoke to some of James’ allegedly Virginia neighbors on Wednesday, but no one reported seeing her on property.
William Plute, director of the Federal Housing and Finance Agency (FHFA), detailed other allegations that these and other James say are prompt and lax in their residency requirements in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy and Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Criminal referrals also accused James, who is paid $220,000, of misrepresenting the number of apartments in the building he owns in Brooklyn. This is an important distinction as buildings with less than four units will be eligible for mortgages in better terms.

Pulte said these issues could amount to criminal charges, including wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and false statements to financial institutions.
In an earlier statement, James’ office sued “federal weaponization” in the Trump administration, providing some details regarding the ownership of her property.

However, her spokesman did not specifically deny the allegations against her.
Her camp did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the fundraiser.
