Civil rights activist Sharpton said he was also interested in Adams’ ability to govern, saying that Fox News Hochul continues to deliberate with city leaders and sees the judge decides tomorrow.
US District Judge Dale E. Ho ordered a status meeting Wednesday to discuss the reasons why the Department of Justice filed an allegation of withdrawal of charges against Adams on Friday. Adams maintains his innocence through legal proceedings and argues that the trial is politically motivated.
“In spite of our pleas, when the federal government did nothing because the broken immigration policy overloaded our shelter system without bailing out, I was in the New York people before the party and politics. I’ll be the target – and I’ll be the target,” Adams said, following his indictment on September 27, 2024.

Adams was critical of President Joe Biden’s handling of the immigration crisis, particularly as New York City struggled to catch up with immigrant buses entering the city’s overwhelming shelter system. Adams said opposition to Biden’s leadership on the immigration crisis has led him to be a target for political persecution.
The home of Brianna Suggs, a fundraiser for Adams’ Chief Campaign, was attacked in November 2023 in connection with Adams’ charges. Adams headed to Washington, D.C. to discuss the immigration crisis and discuss the immigration crisis in a meeting with Biden White House officials. The attack broke. Adams canceled his meetings and suddenly returned to New York City before those meetings took place.
“Through all the negative headlines, rumors and criticism, I am making clear. I have not resigned, I am resigned. “M is always fighting for you,” Adams said. I said on Sunday.

Adams, who has developed a relationship with Trump and held a private meeting with the president in West Palm Beach, met with Trump’s border emperor Tom Homan on Friday. Homan and Adams were sitting in a joint interview with Fox & Friends to discuss plans to suppress illegal immigration in New York City.
Horman embraced Adams with his commitment, telling Fox and his friends: His office climbs up his ass and says, “Where is the agreement we came?”
New York City leaders did not thank Adams for his comments on Tuesday, questioning whether he still aligns with his views on immigration.
“I’m very worried that Mr. Homan came here and acted like he could make Adams do what he wanted or he could lift his ass. Someone I can’t believe it’s going to say that on national television,” Sharpton said.
“It’s one simple test of where his loyalty lies. With the New Yorker and Donald Trump?” Lander was added.

In December 2024, Trump “sees” Adams’ pardon, claiming he was “pretally unfairly treated” by federal prosecutors, and claiming that he would compare Adams’ indictment to his “political persecution.”
When Hochul decided whether to remove Adams as mayor, she said over the past two weeks that “substantiated conduct at city hall” could not be ignored.
Fox News contributor Byron York questioned why Hochul chose to consider removing Adams as mayor. US Attorney General Pam Bondy filed a lawsuit last week against Hochul, restricting illegal immigrants from obtaining driver’s licenses and restricting the DMV from releasing information to the Immigration Bureau without a warrant .

“She didn’t try to eliminate him before he was indicted, not after the indictment. But there’s too much prospect that Adams won’t resist enforcement of federal immigration law,” Fox News contributor Byron York said in a post.
“The call for Mayor Adams to remove it now retreats political manipulation,” what has changed since September so far? Director Brad Lander must reject himself from debate over mayoral status. These decisions must be freed from political bias. It also urges the Ministry of Research and the Conflict of Interest Committee to investigate the obvious misuse of Lander’s urban resources. Using official letterheads and staff to draft a politically charged letter that benefits the ambitions of his own mayor is a clear abuse of public trust. New Yorkers are more valuable. ”
Hochul, who has the authority to remove Adams as mayor under New York state law, said the resignation of four deputy mayors of New York City on Monday raised “serious questions about the long-term future” for the Adams administration. I stated.

In 235 years of New York State history, these authority have been formally elected. It has never been used to eliminate the mayor. The suspects at city hall, which have been reported over the past two weeks, have taken serious measures that should not be underestimated.
