Exclusive: New York City’s Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani refuses to answer questions from Fox News Digital about critics calling him a communist, and whether he plans to return his left and right statements.
Outside her home Friday, Mamdani laughed at the questions, and despite growing competition between mayor Eric Adams, former New York governor, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Swawa, the answer didn’t answer.
President Donald Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr. were one of the voices who named Mamdani “Communist” and many named him a socialist.

“It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line. Zoran Mamdani, a 100% communist madman, has just won the DEM primary and is on the way to become mayor.
“He looks terrible, his voice is wrestling, he’s not very smart, he supports AOC+3, dummy, and he supports him, and even our great Palestinian senator, Creein Chuck Schumer is also groveing him.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Trump Jr. repeated similar sentiments, saying it could become “Florida’s biggest marketing campaign.”

“But what will happen to New York? And as a lifelong New Yorker, someone who grew up here, who changed the skyline with his father for years before he entered politics, that’s a scary concept, perhaps something America needs.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams also pointed to Mamdani’s past comments, including a 2020 tweet in May 2020, in which Mamdani said “each of which depends on their capabilities.”
“- Karl Marx is the author of the Communist manifesto,” former Democrat Adams replied on July 7th.
His past clips circulating on social media have also been ignited with his comments about the home.
“My platform is that each person should have a home. And I think I’m facing these two options. There are people in the system that don’t have hundreds of thousands of people, right?” Mamdani asked in a resurface video circulating on social media.

“If there’s a system that can guarantee each person’s housing, whether they call it abolition of private property or not, if it’s just a statewide housing guarantee, that’s better than what’s happening right now,” Mamdani added.

“He claims to be a socialist. Whether he wants to abolish private property or get a means of production, these are the ideas of communism right away from Karl Marx’s playbook,” R-NY said.
Mamdani is scheduled to meet Hakeem Jefferies, House Democrat leader in New York City on Friday.
