Former President Barack Obama had a dull word for Democrat donors, telling them to “strengthen” and “stop looking for quick fixes” in Friday’s fundraiser after Democrats came to power after the 2024 election cycle.
Obama said during a fundraiser, according to an excerpt obtained by CNN. “Don’t say you’re a Democrat, but you’re a bit disappointed right now, so you’re not doing anything. No, it’s time for you to get there and do something.”
Obama isn’t just urging his fellow Democrat colleagues to take a more aggressive approach following the momentum of the GOP in 2024. The former president made it clear that his view that it would be more aggressive and reinforced would be to launch policies, candidates, or that even though lawmakers may find uncomfortable, they might offer the best opportunity at the end.

Both states will hold new state House elections and slates of other local elections. Virginia will also be holding this year’s special election to replace the late D-VA Rep. Jerry Connolly.
In his remarks, Obama described Spanberger and Cheryl as “both have a powerful spokesman of a practical, common sense desire to help people, and have an incredible track record of service.”
