Authorities are investigating the man after being hospitalized after being stabbed at a popular Santa Monica bar after being killed.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to reports of stab wounds in a bungalow at 101 Wilshire Boulevard around 1:50am Saturday.
Upon arrival, they spotted two victims suffering from stab wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
On Saturday night, police confirmed that a 31-year-old Anaheim man had died of injuries. The second male victim is undergoing medical care for life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made, and the circumstances leading up to the stabbing remain unknown.
“Detectives are actively investigating and pursuing all available leads,” police said in a statement. “Investigators are reviewing the video evidence and collecting witness statements to determine the circumstances surrounding the argument.”
Police believe it is an isolated incident and said there is no threat to the public. Neither of the men have been publicly identified.
Bungalows are a popular bar at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel.
