All but one Senate Republican voted Thursday to confirm President Donald Trump’s appointment as Halham Dillon and served as Attorney General.
The 52-45 votes were almost entirely along the party line, but Alaska Sen. Lisa Markowski joined Democrats in a vote against Dillon’s confirmation.
Fox News Digital reached out to a Murkowski spokesman Friday morning to request lawmakers for comment, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.

President Donald Trump then announced in December that Dillon was his choice to serve as the Justice Department’s civil rights attorney general.

Trump recently accused Maine Sens. Susan Collins and Kentucky Sens. Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell of “Trump crazy syndrome.”

The president called for four GOP senators ahead of the vote on measures to abandon Canadian customs policy on products.
All four Republican senators voted for the joint resolution anyway, and all Democrats voted in favor and cleared the Senate.
