According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, one teenager is dead, and the other two are in crisis after a shooting early Saturday morning in Coachella.
Deputies at the Heat Sheriff’s Station responded to the residence at about 3:45am on August 2 after being reported assaulted with a deadly weapon at a residence in the 49,000 block of Cortemorino.
When they arrived they found three adolescent men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Deputies managed medical assistance on-site until paramedics arrived. Despite efforts to save lives, one of his teenagers has passed away. The other two victims were taken to a local hospital where they remained in danger.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Murder Unit took over the investigation. As of Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been made and no suspicious information had been released. Officials say the investigation is aggressive and ongoing.
