Signs of progress began to appear Monday as cleaning operations continued under the supervision of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office after NBC Los Angeles first reported the first RV parking lots that were handed over to people who were inconsistent in industrial cities.
A video from NewsChopper4 showed fewer RVs in the parking lot of Gale Avenue near Azusa Avenue. This showed roughly three dozen RVs compared to about 80 trailers when NBCLA cameras first filmed the lot on March 24th.
There were still many piles of garbage on Monday, but it seemed like many people had been removed, including a broken car tagged and surrounded by garbage.
Deputies in uniform from the LA County Sheriff’s Department were also seen close to the RV lot.

Morning of March 24th
Many of the RVs have been damaged or destroyed as the NBCLA first reports on conditions within and near parking lots of RVs that were taken over by the homeless.
Evening on March 24th
Sangyo City tells NBCLA that it is “eager” to work with lot owners and Black Series RVs parked in the lot. City officials also confirmed that there was a trespass dispute between the property owner and the Private Party.
March 25th
Another fire breaks out in the storage lot of the trailer. The fire came from one of the trailers.
March 26th
The Industrial Sheriff’s station has developed a cleanup plan and said what they say and clean up will begin within a week.
Evening on March 26th
The Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the eviction process has begun.
March 28th
The Sheriff’s Department’s homeless outreach team is trying to help people find housing alternatives as cleanup continues.
March 31st
Owners of Black Series RVs, which have been using lots for storage since 2021, say Trespassers began stealing parts until they finally stole them in February 2024 and moved them to the RVS.
