Authorities are searching for two suspects while an elderly woman was alone at the home after a home break-in in Northridge on Thursday night.
The break-in occurred around 9:45pm at a residence in the 8800 block of Newcastle Avenue in the San Fernando Valley area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
An unconfirmed report from Stringer Service Traffic News La shows that while the woman was watching security camera footage, two suspects saw the house through a sliding door in the back.
Deputies responded to the scene, but the suspect had already fled. Authorities searched the property and found signs of forced entry, but it is currently unclear whether anything has been taken, officials said.
Footage from the scene shows lawmakers talking to the victim on a wheeled walker outside what appears to be her entrance. Friends and family also arrived to support her. The TNLA estimated the woman was around 90, but details have not been confirmed by authorities.
No injuries have been reported and no suspicious descriptions have been made. It was hard to believe that women would be harmed.
The home break-in is under investigation.
