Some Orange County families who welcomed babies in time for Thanksgiving celebrated Thursday by dressing up their newborns in cute turkey costumes.
Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo gifted babies with Thanksgiving-themed hats and costumes before some of them went home for Thanksgiving dinner.
Two babies still in the hospital also gave the family even more reason to smile and count their blessings on Thanksgiving Day.
Baby Valentina, born at 10:47 a.m. Wednesday, gave first-time parents Stephanie Najera and Joshua Allen even more reason to celebrate.
“What could be more grateful than having a healthy, healthy baby? I feel so blessed,” the new mom said. “I can’t stop smiling when I look at her. I’m so grateful to her.”
Baby Valentina will be the biggest star of Thanksgiving dinner, according to her new parents.
“(The grandparents) are so grateful that she came, especially on such a special day. They love her so much already,” the new mom said. “I can’t wait to see how many memories they make with her.”
The one-day-old baby was wearing a brown turkey dress with yellow and red trim and was snoozing comfortably in her dad’s arms.
“I think she loves it. It’s a cute little turkey costume,” Valentina’s mother said.
