Anaheim Police Department homicide detectives say they believe there are witnesses to an unsolved shooting in January who have not yet come forward.
The Jan. 24 gun violence incident occurred in the 200 block of East Wakefield Avenue, according to an APD news release.
Officers arrived on the scene around 3:15 a.m. and found the victim, identified as 49-year-old Marcy Aguilar, suffering from at least one gunshot wound on the balcony of an apartment.
Responding Anaheim Fire Department medics rushed the 49-year-old man to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

“Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, we are unable to release specific details at this time,” the release states. “However, detectives believe there are other witnesses with important information that could help solve this case.
