President Donald Trump praised Florida on Tuesday. Palm Beach County has approved the rename of the busy road after the commander.
A committee of the Palm Beach County County Commission voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve a resolution changing the four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard, which runs from Palm Beach International Airport to the president’s home at the Mar Arago Resort.

“It was noted that the large state in Florida, which I won three times, has changed its name to Florida, a resident I’m proud of, and has renamed it to the important four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard in Palm Beach County and “President Donald J. Trump.”

The resolution comes after Gov. DeSantis signed a law directing the Florida Department of Transportation to erect signs along the stretch on South Boulevard, honoring Trump.

The law calls for another section of the road to be renamed “PBSO Motorman Highway” in honor of three motorcycle deputies with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office who died in a crash that fell last year.

The new signs are expected to be installed later this year. The name is ritual and means that the postal address and emergency response system will continue to use Minami Boulevard.
