The Desert Guide Dog will host an art exhibition fundraiser for nonprofits focused on training guide dogs for blind people and visually impaired.
Showing unique works created by guide dogs during training, Paw-Casso Art will be held on Friday, April 4th from 5pm to 7pm at Melissa Morgan Sculpture Garden at Palm Desert.
According to the organization, each painting represents the creativity, intelligence and dedication of these future service dogs.

As participants can meet the puppy artist, the event will showcase a live demonstration of the artwork.
All paintings are purchased through bids. For those who are unable to attend the event, you can also make a donation to the guide dogs on the desert website.
According to Guide Dogs of America, raising and training guide dogs cost nearly $60,000.
Fifty-three percent of visually impaired people report that they currently use guide dogs, and according to the Blind Research Foundation, they have expressed enthusiasm for the guide dog lifestyle.
