Panda Express mixes music and food with a new karaoke pop-up experience called “Pandaoke.” It will be launched in select cities to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islands Heritage Month.

The first casual chain has announced the Pandark event as an extension of its latest brand campaign, “Have you still eaten?”

A limited amount of experience brings karaoke booths to four Panda Express locations across the country, starting in Los Angeles and heading to Nashville, Chicago and Austin.

Restaurants offering prizes, Teacher Appreciation Week Deals

According to a news release, each Pandaoke location features a 7-foot-high karaoke takeout box, allowing groups of two to three guests to make a pleasant 30-second hit. The session will be recorded and sent via email as a record to participants. The booths will be open from 11am to 7pm local time on scheduled dates in each city.

Supplies Last (Panda Express) Panda Express, a dedicated Pandaoke Kit purchased from a location where you choose to eat, will debut part of the 7-foot-high karaoke take-out box from Pandaoke Experience (Panda Express)

Guests who purchase Panda Family meals on the day of the event will also receive a complimentary Pandark kit, but the last of the consumables.

Pandaoke Tour Dates and Locations:

May 9-11: Los Angeles, 2828 S. Figueroa St. May 23-25: Nashville, 6601 Charlotte Pike May 30-June 1: Chicago, 2949 W. Addison St. June 6-8: Austin, 5764 Airport Blvd.

“In Pandas, we often ask simple yet meaningful questions: “Have you ever had it?” – Andrea Cernig, chief brand officer at Panda Express, said in a statement. “From day one, it has been at the heart of our work to provide comfort to our guests through flavourful cuisine and comfortable experiences. Now, along with Pandark, we bring this same comfort and connection to life in a new and enjoyable way.
