Part of the Pacifico Coast Highway resumed for the first time on Sunday morning since the Parisdo was the first time since the fire, but due to the decision of the mayor’s office, 3 miles of stretches were generally closed until Monday morning.
The main street on the beach side was resumed from 8:00 am on Sunday to the North Evil Coastline Drive, but following the decision of the mayor of Karenbus on Saturday, the residents between the coast drive and the Entera Drive. Except for the contractor, it was closed.
“People can pass through the maribu region. They cannot pass the PCH all the time unless they have the resident’s access path or the contractor’s access path,” said Caltrans. Wonder says.
The mayor said that these passes can be used with Santa Monica’s 1150 Pacific Coast Highway (Lot 3) from 10 am to 5 pm.
“We continue to adapt to this dynamic situation in real time,” Bass said in a Saturday night press release. “This plan secures Palisades and relieves the burden on Lapd. LAPD has been affected by LA for nearly a month.”
The decision to keep a part of the PCH closed has responded to concerns from residents regarding dangerous pollutants released by fire and looting. However, when it was announced before 8 pm on Saturday, a partner agency sent a scramble to comply.
“Until we saw the press release, we didn’t know about it,” said Margaret Stewart, a spokeswoman at the Los Angeles Fire Department. “Honestly, LAPD and we didn’t know that this was happening, so there was a little confusion this morning.”
Los Angeles Police introduced all questions about resuming to the fire department.
“What we are trying to do is to use a PCH as a through point when people are open tomorrow,” said Cult Run’s Wonder. “The truck comes in and out, the right lane is closed, and it is closed to respond to it.”
These changes may remain for the next few weeks, as well as continuous restrictions on Parisade.
“It’s really a security and access to recovery,” Wonder said. “People are not just running around and watching devastation.”
